The Archaeological Museum of Chania is located in the former Venetian monastery of Saint Francis, in the center of the old town. The museum has exhibits on the archaeology and history of Chania and the surrounding region, from the Neolithic period to the Roman era. Some of the highlights of the museum include the Minoan pottery, the Roman statues, and the Venetian and Ottoman artifacts.
